She made her first solo concerts and performances with orchestras as a soloist at the age of 14. Her father was the engineer Ernst Bruhn, her mother the interpreter Leonore Bruhn née Kieberger. Siglind Bruhn (born October 11, 1951, in Hamburg) is a German musicologist, writer and concert pianist.
