It's safe to say that the loyal followers of 1D can't take much more bad news-but luckily, the latest development is of the exciting variety: One Direction has just released their second single, "Perfect," from their upcoming album *Made in the A.M.*Adding to the buzz surrounding the band's latest single is the fan theory that the song is about Taylor Swift. (No worries, though: They said it was just "friendly banter.") And totally sending fans over the edge was the news that One Direction would be taking at least a yearlong hiatus next year to pursue individual projects. There was worry of strife between the remaining four band members when Liam Payne shoved Louis Tomlinson onstage during a recent show. Zayn Malik left the band back in March, to the devastation of 1D-ers everywhere. It's been a tumultuous year for One Direction fans. The line especially adding fuel to the fire is when Styles sings, "If you're looking for someone to write your breakup songs about, Baby, I'm perfect"-which seems like a blatant Swift and Harry Styles briefly dated in late 2012, and Styles wrote "Perfect" with Louis Tomlinson (along with songwriters Jacob Kasher, John Ryan, Maureen Anne McDonald). The album announcement in September came with the release of the anthemic, Coldplay-esque “ Infinity.It's been a tumultuous year for One Direction fans. First single “ Drag Me Down” debuted in July during the band’s North American leg of their On the Road Again world tour in support of Four. “Perfect” is the third song to be previewed from the band’s forthcoming fifth album, Made in the A.M., out November 13th. “If you’re looking for someone to write your break-up songs about, baby I’m perfect,” he sings towards the end of the track. Later on the track, Styles seems to directly respond to the songs Taylor Swift is rumored to have written about him on her album 1989. On the track, the band sings “If you like causing trouble up in hotel rooms/If you like having secret little rendez-vous/If you like to do the things you know that we shouldn’t do/Then baby I’m perfect, I’m perfect for you.” Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson co-wrote the track with Julia Bunetta, Jesse Shatkin, Jacob Kasher, John Ryan and Maureen Anne McDonald.
“Perfect” is a catchy ode to bad boys and their rebellious personas. One Direction have released another new song off their fifth album.
